We are happy to announce the launch of STRONGER YOU(th), an international collaborative project dedicated to promoting youth mental health through the development of an innovative prevention and intervention program.
About the Project
STRONGER YOU(th) aims to strengthen the competencies of youth workers who support young people’s mental well-being. By focusing on resilience-building, prevention strategies, and effective intervention tools, the project seeks to contribute to healthier, more supportive communities across Europe.
An International Partnership
This initiative brings together organizations from Poland, Lithuania, Cyprus, Italy, and Bulgaria, combining diverse experiences, perspectives, and best practices in youth work and mental health promotion. Through cross-cultural collaboration, partners are working toward shared solutions that respond to the real needs of young people today.
Laying the Groundwork
The project began with a series of initial online Zoom meetings, during which partners explored different perspectives and approaches, laying a strong foundation for future cooperation.
The first in-person partner meeting took place in Nicosia, Cyprus, on March 19–20, 2025. During this gathering, partners:
- Deepened their understanding of one another’s organizational contexts
- Finalized work plans and responsibilities
- Experienced the rich cultural diversity of Nicosia
The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity to learn about different histories, cuisines, architectural styles, and ways of life, reinforcing the importance of cultural exchange in international cooperation.
What’s Next?
Following the meeting in Cyprus, partners launched the implementation phase of a youth mental health survey. This essential research tool will help the consortium better understand the mental health needs of young people across participating regions.
In April, a coordination meeting was held to refine the survey and outline the next steps for analyzing responses. The insights gathered will play a key role in shaping future project activities and resources.
